The Oakdale Alumni Association was organized in
1978 by a group of alumni and community volunteers
with a goal of finding as many graduates of Oakdale
High School and bringing them together for an
all-class reunion. In July 1978, more than 750
gathered at Oakdale School for the first all-class
reunion. A second reunion was held in 1979 with a
third reunion in 1982. During the business meeting at
that reunion, the alumni voted to hold the reunion in
years divisible by 5. At the 2005 business meeting,
the alumni voted to hold the reunions every two years.
The most recent reunion was held at Oakdale School
on Saturday, July 4, 2009. At that reunion, alumni
voted to have the next reunion in three years. The
next reunion is scheduled for June 30, 2012.
